Biblical character building and Excellence in education

 

The vision for planting mission schools flows from the IMD (Institute for Ministry Development) vision statement:

 

To engage least reached people groups and spiritually needy areas of Southern Africa by identifying faithful men and women amongst them and helping these leaders to multiply their church planting effort through discipleship and leadership development.

 

The vision of IMD to plant a Christian schools flows from a firm belief that Christian Education will shape a child’s life to love and fear God and live by Biblical principles. They will become the faithful, honest and productive citizens who will live life with integrity and who will be an asset to their families and communities.

 

We also believe that Christian Education is the answer to the educational crisis in South Africa. According to a study done in 2007, 80% of South African schools are dysfunctional. Our vision is to come along side faithful, visionary men, with whom we have built a relationship, to provide excellent education that is accessible to needy children.

MARUDA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is a Non Profit Organization which focuses on education and community transformation in its surrounding area, registered as a Non Profit Organization (NPO) with the Department of Social Development and Welfare and as a school with the Department of Education. 

 

MARUDA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is situated in a poor township, in the Greater Mogalakwena Municiplity Area.  The nature of our activities enables potential donors to gain points on their B-BBEE score card under the social investment category with regard to any contribution to MARUDA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. This makes MARUDA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL the ideal B-BBEE partner.

Focus area:

Private Christian Education in Masodi Villiage/Watererberg Area, focusing on the Foundational Phase  (Grade R – Grade 3) and Intermediate Phase (Grade 4-7)

Vision:

 

To see children in the Masodi area and surrounds have the chance to enjoy a solid foundation in Christian education that stimulates their best social and spiritual development, irrespective of any social and economic disadvantage.

 

IMD (Institute for Ministry Development)  Vision in partnership:

 

To be an efficient missionary instrument that facilitates and helps the local church to fulfill its holistic mission in disadvantaged communities.

Mission:

 

To always project a positive image in all facets of life by presenting the product of our task back to the community.  Disciple Making assumes highest priority and children will be taught Biblical principles.

 

The quality of education will constantly be upgraded and adapted through continuous educational training courses and mentorship.

 

The school will use the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education)  programme from Grade R, as adapted and supplied by Accelerated Christian Education Ministries, which meets the requirements of the South African Core Curriculum. 

 

The School will endeavor to equip each child with sound biblically-based educational and life skills, as well as Godly wisdom, insight and character, in order to become mature, stable productive members of society.

 

The school runs as a non-profit organization, as ministry of IMD Africa.
